The “wet and dry tropical climate” is sometimes referred to as a Savannah or Savanna climate due to the naturally occurring “Savannah grasses” that are common throughout these regions. Savannah climates occur mainly between 20 degrees North and South latitudes.
Mean annual temperature for this type of climate is at least 60 degrees F. ( 21 degrees celsius). Savannah climates lack a winter, but distinct seasons are determined by temperature and temperatures and amounts of precipitation.. The “cool/dry” season produces daytime temperatures of 80 degrees to 90 degrees Farenheit ( 27 to 32 degrees Celsius) while nighttime lows of 70 to slightly less than 60 degrees F ( 21 to 15 degrees Celsius) are common.
